Summer

Tern is a 17 year old immigrant from Haiti. She is an upcoming senior at Malden High School who has lived in Malden since she came to America at age 4. In the future,Tern wishes to be an environmental conservatism lawyer. Her love for the outdoors and the environment began at a very young age. Haiti is a place filled with beautiful mountains, bodies of water, and scenery. That love developed even more in 6th grade when Tern spent an entire week out-of-doors. She became enamored with learning about and enjoying the great outdoors. Since then Tern has been on many outdoor adventures such as hiking, backpacking in the Adirondacks, and joining the outdoor adventure club at school. She has a passion for the outdoors and wants to do everything in her power to save the environment through her future work as an environmental lawyer. Tern’s hobbies include gardening, biking, hiking, canoeing, journaling, and reading. She is so excited to spend her summer outside while educating younger kids about the environment!
