Rosy Hosking, BOPN Advisory Board Member

Rosy is a former BOPN parent, and active Roslindale resident!

As a scientist and communication specialist who is passionate about equitable access to nature, Rosy believes every child is a natural scientist.

Rosy is a BOPN parent of two Arboretum-loving daughters, who have benefited variously from the school year half day program, vacation programs, and the Forest Days program at Sumner elementary school in Roslindale.

During the day, Rosy is a scientist and communications specialist, now in a coaching and mentoring role for early career researchers at Harvard. She is passionate about equitable access to nature and believes every child is a natural scientist.

In fostering the joy of the outdoors as a central part of early childhood education, young scientists can observe, hypothesize, experiment, draw conclusions, and share their learnings with one another.

Rosy also sits on the Board of Roslindale Village Main Streets, is active in her neighborhood association, and on the family council of her children's school.
