Nicole Chan, Board of Directors

Nicole has worked in the early education field for over 20 years, as an educator and administrator, in both corporate and non-profit organizations.

Nicole was raised in Newton, Massachusetts, and spent summers at her family’s lake house on the South Shore, where she developed a deep appreciation of nature through days spent swimming, boating, and exploring outdoors from dawn to dusk.

Nicole brings over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and the arts, with a background spanning both nonprofit and corporate settings.

She previously spent three years as BOPN’s Enrollment Specialist, while also contributing broadly across the organization—implementing systems, and supporting hiring, onboarding, and licensing compliance.

Currently a Human Resources Specialist, Nicole is excited to return as a member of BOPN’s Board of Directors, leveraging her expertise in supporting children’s growth and well-being, and our mission of expanding access to nature-based education.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling with her family, reading, creating art, hiking with her two dogs, and spending relaxing days at the beach.
