Jessica Jaro, Lead Teacher

Jessica believes that all children need the opportunity to follow their curiosities, and make connections to the outdoors.

Jessica was born and raised in Boston’s metro south area, and has spent more than 10 years working with children and families in various environments.

She holds a degree in Early Education from UMass Boston, and deeply values the grounding aspect of being immersed in nature. Jessica believes that all children need the opportunity to spend significant time following their curiosities, and making connections to the outdoors.

Jessica has a passion for providing high quality, child-led early education to diverse learners.

She is excited to teach for a nature-based program, with an organization that holds similar values!

In her personal time, Jessica enjoys swimming, surfing, and scuba diving—which calls to her love for the ocean. She also enjoys finding community through dancing, participating in public art programming, training in Eskrima (Filipino martial arts), traveling, and finding a nature trail she hasn't walked before!
