Adi Anker, Multi-Site Float Teacher

Growing up in an urban environment shaped Adi’s appreciation for outdoor spaces—and the important role nature can play in childhood.

Adi is a graduate of Northeastern University, where she studied marine biology and developed a strong interest in environmental and early childhood education. Growing up in an urban environment shaped her appreciation for outdoor spaces and the important role nature can play in childhood.

Adi has experience working with young children in early childhood classrooms, environmental education programs, and research settings focused on how children learn and engage with the world around them, including her work with Change is Simple, the Transportation Children’s Center, and the Northeastern CORE Lab.

Through these experiences, Adi developed a strong belief in play-based, child-led learning and the value of giving children time to explore, move, and build relationships outdoors.

Outside of teaching Adi enjoys spending time in nature, and creative practices that support mindfulness and curiosity, including yoga, hiking, crafting, and reading. At BOPN, Adi is excited to support children as they build confidence, wonder, and a sense of belonging through everyday experiences in nature.
