Jeanne Henchy, Teacher
By combining the beauty of nature with the foundations of education, Jeanne wants to instill a love for learning and aid in the development of well-rounded and curious children.
From an early age, Jeanne has loved and appreciated the outdoors. Growing up, she enjoyed spending time exploring the natural world around her. The outdoors have always provided a place of comfort and peace, extending into her adult life.
In college, Jeanne studied early childhood education and is currently pursuing her masters in special education at UMass Boston. Her experience with children includes working for public schools, private preschools, summer camps, after school programs, and providing private family child care. In her prior role, Jeanne was a lead teacher for a public preschool program in Boston. She is thrilled to use her knowledge of early childhood to best serve children in an outdoor environment.
Jeanne believes in the importance of children experiencing and interacting with nature throughout early development. She is passionate about teaching students to be resilient, kind, and capable of overcoming adversity.
Jeanne wants to instill a love for learning, and combine the beauty of nature with the foundations of education to develop a well-rounded and curious child.
In her free time, Jeanne enjoys reading, crocheting, yoga and exercise, and of course—enjoying the great outdoors!
