Grisseld Anderson, Lead Teacher
After 20 years working with young children and their families in early intervention, Grisseld joins BOPN as Lead Teacher for our Little Explorers in Malden.
Grisseld’s two decades of experience, Master’s degree in Education from Wheelock College, and Master’s degree in Science from Cambridge College laid a foundation that naturally extends into outdoor science and nature-based learning.
She believes children learn best when they have opportunities to explore, ask questions, make connections, and develop the confidence to learn for themselves. And the outdoors provides a living classroom filled with opportunities for curiosity, wonder, and hands-on learning.
Grisseld feels strongly that through hands-on experiences, children develop an understanding of the natural world as an interconnected ecosystem where plants, animals, water, soil, weather, and people all play an important part.
She looks forward to sharing her love of nature, science, creativity, and discovery with the BOPN community, and creating meaningful experiences that children can carry with them as they grow.
Outside of teaching, Grisseld enjoys cooking, DIY projects, and the arts, including music, dance, singing, and painting.
