Alex Mansfield, Lead Teacher
Alex has been teaching at our Malden location since fall 2024.
After leading sessions throughout summer 2025, Alex returns as a Lead Teacher in Malden for SY 2025 - 26!
With a background in organic farming and opening a local donut shop, Alex brings a deep love of hands-on work and community to his teaching.
Outside of BOPN, Alex spends most of his time in the woods around Pine Banks Park and the Middlesex Fells—trail running, mountain biking on his commute, exploring with his two kids, or teaching in nature.
Alex believes outdoor learning fosters curiosity, confidence, and connection, and hopes to help children build lifelong relationships with nature—rooted in exploration, joy, and community.
