Paula Jordan, Teacher Coach

Paula is a naturalist, nature-based educator, and teacher/school mentor for folks working or exploring nature-based education in urban settings.

Paula Jordan lives and works on Land of the Massachusetts, now known as Arlington and Somerville, MA. She is a naturalist, nature-based educator, and teacher/school mentor for folks working or exploring nature-based education in urban settings. Her nature spark experience was at Powerhouse Park in Somerville: rolling down hills, climbing rocks, digging with sticks and watching squirrels and birds with her four siblings. As the Site and Children and Nature Initiative Coordinator at a community garden/park in Somerville MA, you may find her there working with 4 and 5 year olds, coaching them in tool use and reciprocity of land/garden care, sharing resources with local educators, leading the garden team, or taking macro photos of insects and flowers. Access and equity to nature experiences for all children/youth and families is something she deeply cares about.
