Miss Emily, Lead Teacher

Emily believes wholeheartedly that every child should have the privilege of access to free play in nature.

Emily has been an outdoor educator for 8 years, the first four leading an after-school group for kindergarten students during her time studying Early Childhood at Champlain College in Vermont. She is now in her fourth year as an outdoor educator in Ashland State Forest. Her love for the outdoors began early during her childhood spend outside exploring the woods beyond her dead-end street.

She believes wholeheartedly that every child should have the privilege of access to free play in nature as she did. Play is learning! Emily is excited to return to BOPN for another summer at the new Wolbach Farm site in Sudbury!
