Christina Raichle, Lead Teacher

Growing up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Christina has cultivated my deep gratitude and appreciation for our incredible Mother Earth. Nature has always been her favorite teacher, and being outside most of her life has made Christina the passionate teacher she is today.

Christina previously worked at a nature-based preschool on Martha’s Vineyard for 3 years, where she taught fairness and kindness, encouraged curiosities, and connected the community to nature in meaningful ways. While teaching there, Christina also co-created an Anti-Bias Education plan for the preschool program, and other Mass Audubon preschools that standardized work pertaining to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

At BOPN Christina inspires children and their families to discover, investigate, and respect all that nature has to offer.

In 2019, Christina graduated from Skidmore College, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education Studies, with minors in Environmental Studies and Dance. She was also a teaching assistant at the lab preschool on campus, where she worked with children ages 2-5 and mentored college students studying Psychology and Education.

Christina is a total nature nerd and can be found with her nose in numerous books about the wonders of the natural world. If she could recommend any book, it would always be Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. She’s also recently taken up painting and has been drawing landscapes; She finds it very relaxing getting lost in the magnificent hues of nature!
