Applications are processed in three phases, by group:

Current and Alumni Families
A. Current Families: children enrolled in a current school year program, and their siblings
B. Alumni Families: children/families previously enrolled in school year programs
C. Summer Alumni Families: children/families previously enrolled in summer programs only, applying for admission to SY 2026 - 27.
D. Toddler Connections Families: children/families currently or previously enrolled in Toddler Connections only (Please note this is separate from groups A - C above.)

The submission deadline for Group 1 priority enrollment is December 5, 2025.
Current and Alumni families (Groups A and B above) are eligible for a 5% tuition discount on Half Day programs when applications are received by the December 5, 2025 deadline.

While new families may submit an application at any time, early receipt has minimal impact on the selection process.
Program Updates & Information
As part of BOPN’s leadership transition, we are taking a small step back to ensure success going forward. So that we can focus on stable growth and strong support across all BOPN locations, our Sudbury site will be closing at the end of the current school year. We are beyond grateful for the MetroWest community, and the many lasting relationships we’ve made there. It is our sincere hope to see your families at another location in the future!
Half Day school year and summer programs will be offered at the Arnold Arboretum in JP/Roslindale, Pine Banks Park in Malden, and the Eustis Estate and Forbes House Museum sites in Milton. To learn more about programs available at each location, please visit their individual pages here:
Full Day enrollment is delayed.
We are currently exploring new indoor spaces and hope to increase openings! Families on the Full Day Waitlist were emailed additional information on November 13, and updates will be provided as further details are available.
New names, same FUN!
Our license at each location mandates the age ranges and programs we can offer, which we know can be confusing. To help, we’re moving away from “Toddler” and “Preschool” classifications to better represent the age ranges for our youngest friends!
Generally, Little Explorers programs are open to children at or near age 2.0 with varying upper limits. Tuition rates may vary as well. (See individual locations for details.)
ALL Big Adventurers classes start at age 2.9, without exception.
Enrollment Process

2 - Review the BOPN Family Handbook
Enrollment terms and conditions—including our refund policy—are updated annually. Upon admission, families will receive the School Year 2026 - 27 Handbook with their enrollment materials. As policies for SY26-27 are not yet finalized, we welcome applicants to review the current year’s handbook here and email us with any specific policy questions. Tuition deposits are due with completed enrollment materials. The non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is equal to two months tuition, unless a financial aid award is granted.
3 - Note the Deadlines and APPLY!
Admissions Applications will be available to all families HERE on November 15, 2025.
While you may apply anytime, applications submitted after your group’s deadline will be processed after the following group is seated—pending availability.
Group One deadline: December 5, 2025
Group Two deadline: December 31, 2025
Group Three: see section 4 below for details
(i.e. Group One applications received after December 5, 2025 will be processed after Group Two’s deadline of December 31, 2025.) To maintain fair opportunities throughout the process, there are no exceptions. Please plan accordingly and reach out early with questions.
As a reminder: Group One families who submit their applications by December 5, 2025 qualify for a 5% tuition discount on school year 2026 - 27 Half Day programs. (Discount is not combinable with financial aid.)
Half Day Summer Program enrollment will open January 12, 2026 for all families. Please visit the Summer Programs page for dates and options at all locations.
Note on Financial Aid: Awards granted for prior enrollment cycles do not carryover. Families needing financial assistance for SY 26-27 must apply for it via the Admissions Application. Aid requests will be reviewed in order of receipt, and offers will be sent out with enrollment invitations. Reasonable time will be given to return completed aid agreements, and outlined in your offer. Missing the deadline will forfeit your child’s placement in their desired program.
4 - Complete Enrollment Paperwork and Submit Deposit
Group One families who submit Admissions Applications by December 5, 2025 will receive enrollment invitations (with forms, contract, and deposit request) in early January, or be placed on the Waitlist and notified as such. Completed enrollment materials and tuition deposits must be returned by January 23, 2026 to secure your child’s spot. Tuition discounts (if applicable) will not be applied to late enrollments.
Group Two families who submit Admissions Applications by December 31, 2025 will receive enrollment invitations (with forms, contract, and deposit request) in early February, or be returned to the Waitlist and notified as such. Completed enrollment materials and tuition deposits must be returned by February 16, 2026 to secure your child’s spot.
Group Three families may submit Admissions Applications anytime, keeping the following in mind. Review of Group Three applications starts in January, as Group One and Two families respond to enrollment offers. However, Group Three decisions are not sent until late February. Enrollment opens to the public on March 1, 2026. For priority consideration ahead of Open Enrollment, you must apply by February 15, 2026.
All families must submit a completed enrollment packet and their deposit (two months’ tuition) by the provided deadline to secure your child’s school year spot. Summer programs are paid-in-full at the time of enrollment, which opens January 12, 2026.
