Sue LaChance, Board of Directors

Sue’s career has centered on empowering people and organizations to grow with purpose and impact.

She is thrilled to re-join BOPN and support this special community.

Sue joins the BOPN Board with deep roots in the organization, having previously served as BOPN’s Chief of Staff. In that role, she helped foster a thriving culture for staff, children, and families alike. Sue brings extensive experience in organizational and leadership development, specializing in designing collaborative initiatives that strengthen team alignment, enhance performance, and celebrate both individual and collective success.

A lifelong educator and coach, Sue’s journey began at age 16, teaching puppetry to preschoolers. She then ventured to Japan, teaching English to students aged 5 to 80. Back in the US, she worked avocationally as a Dale Carnegie instructor while settling into a career in Professional and Leadership Development, building learning programs and fortifying culture in nonprofit healthcare, engineering, high tech, and environmental consulting.

Sue’s career has centered on empowering people and organizations to grow with purpose and impact.

As a Board member, Sue is excited to once again contribute to BOPN’s inspiring mission—leveraging her experience to ensure a strong, sustainable foundation for BOPN’s continued growth and innovation.

Outside of work, you’ll find Sue running or cycling local trails, tending her community garden, or coaching youth cross-country skiing at Weston Ski Track—yes, in all kinds of weather! She lives in Concord with her partner Mike and their cat, Chai, and is the proud mother of two adult sons, Max and Sam.
