Rachel Lynch, Teaching Fellow
Rachel has been working with kids since she was a teen, and thinks each year is more fun than the last.
She’s excited to combine her passions for education and the outdoors as a BOPN Teaching Fellow!
Rachel has worked with kids since she was a teen, and thinks each year is more fun than the last. She has experience assisting at several preschools, as well as leading a sensory class for toddlers; and has spent seven summers at the camp she attended as a child—five as a counselor and the last two as a Camp Administrator.
Rachel was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she spent much of her time outdoors. Some of her favorite childhood memories are of nature walks with her grandparents, and she strives to foster curiosity about, and appreciation for, the outdoors in the children she works with.
Through her fellowship with BOPN, Rachel hopes to learn just as much as she teaches. She wants to help guide children as they explore nature, while broadening her understanding of outdoor education.
In 2024, Rachel graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied a little bit of many things, including Biology, Writing, and Child Development. Outside of school, Rachel loves to read, write, listen to music, go on walks, and stargaze!
