Mariana Chavez, Substitute Teacher

Mariana comes from El Salvador, where she spent half of her lifetime enjoying every bit of nature while growing up.

The experience of a childhood full of free outdoor play in El Salvador was essential for Mariana. She understands the importance of outdoor play, and feels that it is essential for young children’s learning and development!

Mariana has been a nanny for more than 16 years, and she likes reading, bike riding, and exploring the outdoors with her own 3 children!

Mariana sees BOPN as a great opportunity to keep doing what she loves - teaching and caring for kids outdoors!
