Welcome to BOPN, and to Boston, Kathryn!
Kathryn comes from Louisville, Kentucky, where she fell in love with the outdoors through hiking and camping with her family. These experiences instilled a life long passion for environmental stewardship, and an overall admiration for the world around us.
Over the years Kathryn has continued exploring and learning about the outdoors. She studied Natural Resources and Environmental Science at the University of Kentucky, where she discovered her passion for environmental education and working in outdoor educational settings.
Kathryn’s favorite part of teaching outdoors is seeing children immersed in what they learn. She is excited to guide students as they explore nature, and form their own lasting connections with it.
In her free time Kathryn enjoys hiking, camping, crafting, traveling, and baking. She also enjoys hanging out with her cat, Kitty.
