Vian Nguyen, Substitute Teacher

She has illustrated a children’s book, “The Astronaut’s Whale” and is currently illustrating a graphic novel.

Vian is a recent graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she studied Education Leadership, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship. As an illustrator and educator, she has worked with students from kindergarten to undergraduate levels as a writing instructor. She has illustrated a children’s book, “The Astronaut’s Whale” and is currently illustrating a graphic novel. She is passionate about helping kids to navigate the stories and imagination within them through storytelling, which in her view is rooted in our experiences with the earth, environment, and communities that nourish us.
