Hope Olson, Lead Teacher & Admissions Coordinator

Hope fell in love with working with kids when she was a kid herself. Early in life, she found her love for the outdoors which has grown ever since. Hope is a 2022 graduate from St. Lawrence University with a degree in Environmental Studies and Biology as well as a minor in Outdoor Studies. Her time studying off-campus on an off-the-grid Adirondack Semester and an immersive semester in Kenya developed her interest in outdoor and alternative education. Hope’s passion for nature and working with kids have perfectly combined to lead her into a career in the world of outdoor education.

Hope has worked with young kids for nearly ten years, at summer camps, teaching swim lessons, babysitting, nannying, and volunteer coaching. She loves being a supportive and encouraging part of kids’ lives and helping them develop into their great selves. Educating in nature allows for the addition of influencing kids to be environmentally-minded, something that is important for all individuals today.

In her spare time, Hope enjoys running, hiking, skiing, doing yoga, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
