Carlea Dolcine, Teacher

Carlea has both seen in others and herself how transformative it can be for youth (and adults) to spend time connecting with the natural world. 

Carlea grew up in Somerville, MA and as a child would jump at any chance to get outdoors! Carlea has graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s in psychology and African American studies and a certificate in Civic Engagement and Public Service. After spending 5 summers as a camp counselor at the summer camp she attended as a child. Since experiencing this, she has both seen in others and herself how transformative it can be for youth (and adults) to spend time connecting with the natural world. 

Carlea has also spent a summer teaching at BOPN and is excited to return to the world of outdoor education! When not teaching, Carlea enjoys doing crafts, learning to roller skate and spending time with their friends.
