Shareen has worked in outdoor conservation across the U.S. and recently taught in Spain!
She looks forward to having awesome adventures here at BOPN.
Shareen Alsebai has an energetic inner child and is so excited to be joining the BOPN team. With a diverse background in outdoor work and education, she brings what she has learned from these experiences. Born and raised in Milton, Shareen went on to graduate from Boston University with a degree in Chemistry and Science Education. She spent a year teaching chemistry with the hopes of making the content fun and relatable for her students, but took a new direction after the challenges of teaching online during the pandemic.
Shareen went on to work in California, North Carolina and Montana, doing various conservation work from building trails, removing invasive species, prescribed burning, and wildland firefighting. It was during this where she grew a huge passion for working outdoors and being in nature.
Wanting to live abroad, Shareen spent the past 2 years teaching English in an elementary school in Spain. There, she realized how much she enjoys working with kids, and is excited to combine her love of education and the outdoors here at BOPN.
Shareen believes in the importance of children being outside, and looks forward to an awesome adventure at BOPN!
In her free time, Shareen loves going for long walks, swimming in any water she can get into, and doing arts and crafts with her sister.
