Lyra Kirouac, SuccessLink Youth Worker

Lyra is eager to help children discover the same sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature that she has found in the Arnold Arboretum!

Lyra finds a great deal of pleasure being out in nature, either hiking or skiing in the Mountains of New England, rock climbing, or discovering new places during her travels. She especially enjoys spending time in the Arnold Arboretum, where she walks with her dog walk almost every weekend. She is very eager to help children discover the same sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature that she has found there.

In addition to her love for nature, Lyra has gained several years of experience working with children. She has babysat for multiple families, and cared for several kids consistently over the past three years.

Lyra also tutors children, and gives online lessons to young students learning English as a second language.

On days when she is not outside, Lyra enjoys baking different things and experimenting with new recipes. She is thrilled to join BOPN this summer, and hopes to create an enjoyable and encouraging environment where children can build confidence in exploring the natural world.
