Ethan Brown, Assistant Teacher

Ethan started teaching several years ago and quickly developed a passion for working with children—which he is very excited to share with our groups at Pine Banks Park in Malden!

Welcome, Ethan!

Born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan, Ethan is a newcomer to Massachusetts, but is excited to bring all of his teaching experience to BOPN with him. Ethan started teaching a few years ago and quickly developed a passion for working with kids. He absolutely loves the outdoors and is eager to share that passion with the kids at BOPN.

Ethan recently graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Social Studies. He worked as a substitute teacher while going to school, allowing him to experience both sides of the classroom at the same time. He has learned from his recent experiences as both a student and a teacher, and is excited to put his expertise to use.

An animal lover, Ethan lives in Allston with his partner and their cat, Soup. He enjoyed hiking in the forests of Michigan, but is excited to explore new trails in Massachusetts. Having worked on a farm in their education and outreach programs, Ethan has experience bringing teaching beyond the classroom doors, and believes that everything in life provides a chance to learn – for his students and for himself.
