Drop-off and pick-up are outdoors at Massachusetts Horticultural Society (MassHort).  The address is 900 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA.

We spend our days in the forest and gardens.  The children are active participants in selecting which places we visit and how we explore them.  Click here for a video of the extraordinary gardens at MassHort.

Hours and Schedule

Daily Rhythm

  • Drop-off outdoors at 8:30 a.m.

  • Morning Circle (greetings, song, game, counting)

  • Hike to an “adventure spot”

  • Snack

  • Play and learn in nature (play, guided exploration, science, art, etc.)

  • Clean-up and gratitude circle

  • Hike back to the Education Building

  • Lunch (indoors or outdoors depending on the weather)

  • Nap

  • Head back outdoors.  Hike, play, and investigate.  Child-directed projects.

  • Pick-up at 4 p.m.

Tuition for School Year 2021-22

Program hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The total tuition for school year 2021-22 is $20,000, payable in monthly installments of $2,000.  A $4,000 deposit is applied to May and June 2022.

Families are required to purchase a MassHort membership at the individual level ($55) or above before your child's first day.

How to Apply

New families--please complete our brief interest form here.  We will follow up with you by phone or email.  (Please do not submit this form if your child is currently enrolled).

To be eligible for school year 2021-22 your child must be at least 2 years and 9 months of age by the first day of school.  (We can accept children who turn 2.9 during the school year if there is an opening available at that time).


Vaccinations are required and religious exemptions are not accepted.
