How to Re-Enroll

Intent to Re-Enrol Form

Staying with the same school and class community, as we do at BOPN when children return from year to year,  has many benefits for young learners.  In subsequent years, youth become more confident, secure in the routines and seasons, willing to jump in and explore to new depths.  The secure relationships children have developed with their caregivers provide a springboard for rapid development. We invite you to join us for another year of curiosity, stewardship, and joy!

Learn about how to return to the program your child and family know and love below!

Re-Enrollment Essentials

What is early re-enrollment? Early re-enrollment is the process of securing a spot for your child in any Summer 2023 or School Year 2023-2024 BOPN program in advance of alumni, waitlisted, and newly inquiring families. (Scroll down for the step by step process.) Early re-enrollment runs November 15, 2022 - February 10, 2023.

Is there an incentive to participate in early re-enrollment? Current families who submit the Intent to Re-Enroll Form by December 16, 2022 *and* complete enrollment no later than February 10, 2023 will receive a 5% discount on any school year or full day summer program tuition. Families must submit the Intent to Re-Enroll Form by December 16 **and** complete deposit and paperwork no later than Feb 10 to secure the discount. The discount cannot be combined with income-based tuition awards, scholarships, or other forms of financial aid. No exceptions or extensions.

Is there a reason why I wouldn’t participate in early re-enrollment? Early re-enrollment is a significant commitment, as it requires the submission of a non-refundable tuition deposit. If your family is unsure of their plans and not yet ready to re-enroll, we recommend waiting until plans are more firmly established. At the same time, we do expect that certain programs, including Full Day Toddler and Delford St./Full Day Arboretum will fill quickly upon opening enrollment to the waitlist in February. We are always happy to speak with families to talk through options. Families who do not wish to participate in early re-enrollment may submit their Intent to Re-Enroll Form and Financial Aid Application (if applicable) at any time; however, they are not guaranteed a spot in their program of choice and/or their schedule of choice.

What if I need tuition or deposit reduction, a payment plan, or a cost of gear deduction? We do not want finances to be a barrier for families. We provide financial support in the form of tuition reduction, deposit reduction (e.g., one month instead of two), payment plans, and a cost of gear deduction. When considering aid requests, we will compare the standard cost of living for number of employed parents/guardians and dependents in your household to your 2021 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). We also consider extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical expenses, loss of employment, children with special needs), provided you include a brief explanation in your application. If you would like to apply for one or more of these options, please submit the Financial Aid Application no later than December 16, 2022. Families must re-apply for financial aid each year.

What if I want to sponsor another family? Families may elect to contribute to the BOPN scholarship fund by wrapping a donation into their re-enrollment package. Using the Intent to Re-Enroll Form, families may elect to: Contribute a one-time or recurring tax-deductible donation in an amount of your choice to the BOPN Scholarship Fund Convert the 5% early registration discount into a tax-deductible contribution to BOPN Enroll for “Silver” or “Gold” tuition pricing tiers. Silver is 5% above the standard tuition rate. Gold is 10% above the standard tuition rate. Amounts contributed above the standard tuition rates are billed as tax deductible donations.

Take Me Through the Enrollment Process, Step by Step

Step 1: Choose the Best Program Option for Your Child Go to www.bopn.org/re-enroll (pw: BOOTS) to learn about the different program options. Members of the admissions team, your child’s teachers, and your site directors can all provide guidance on next steps for your child. Families can also attend our informational Zoom meetings on November 29 at 10AM and December 8 at 8PM.

Step 2: Submit Intent to Re-Enroll Form (by December 16 to access 5% discount) Current families who submit the Intent to Re-Enroll Form, posted at www.bopn.org/re-enroll (pw: BOOTS), will temporarily hold their spot. (Current families receive priority over alumni families.) Families may also elect to make a one-time or recurring donation to the BOPN scholarship fund as part of their re-enrollment package.

Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid (if applicable; by December 16 to temporarily hold spot) Current families who require financial aid should submit their applications by December 16, 2022. Families who currently receive financial aid must reapply each year. Financial Aid: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSefWjEYUL347-cE3TIZKQdxMLpfwHXfmqlAOiIJPqXm5gAG0Q/viewform

Step 4: Submit Deposit & Enrollment Packet (by February 10 to secure your spot) Current families who have submitted the Intent to Re-Enroll form by December 16, 2022 will receive their individualized enrollment packet no later than January 10, 2022, when re-enrollment officially opens to current and alumni families. Current families who have submitted a financial aid application will also receive their aid determination no later than January 10, 2022. Current families must complete their deposit payment and re-enrollment packet no later than February 10, 2022 to secure their spot ahead of alumni, waitlisted, and newly inquiring families. Current families who submit the Intent to Re-Enroll Form between December 17, 2022 and January 17, 2023 can expect to receive their re-enrollment packet no later than January 30, 2023. These families will not secure the 5% discount but may still secure their spot if deposit and enrollment packet are completed by February 10, 2023. Current families who submit the Intent to Re-Enroll Form after January 17, 2023 are not guaranteed a spot in their program of choice. Re-Enrolling at the Arboretum in JP/Roslindale

What's new for the Arboretum full day class? Full day Arboretum summer and school year will now be separate enrollment periods. Current Arboretum Full Day families may re-enroll for Summer 2023 and School Year 2023-2024, just Summer 2023, or just School Year 2023-2024. Like our Full Day Wellesley program, the cost of summer session is higher than school year tuition.

What's new for the morning half day Arboretum classes? Arboretum half day morning program participants will have the option to register for “early risers,” an early drop off from 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM, for an additional fee. We have introduced a second tuition tier for AM half-day, ages 3+. Families whose children will turn ages 3 through 5 by August 31, 2023 qualify for Tier 2 (lower) pricing.

What's new for summer at the Arboretum? We will now run half day summer in one week sessions. There will be no PM half day summer offerings. Current families who participate in early re-enrollment will receive a 15% tuition discount on half day summer sessions. (Cannot be combined with financial aid.) Half Day Summer Invoices will post to Procare accounts on March 1 and be auto-deducted on March 5. Enrollment paperwork for families enrolling only in BOPN Summer programs will not be sent until March 1st, but your spot will be secure.

Re-Enrolling in Wellesley

What's new for the Wellesley full day class? Wellesley Full Day Preschool Summer requires a six (out of eight) week enrollment. (Weeks need not all be consecutive.) Full Day Toddler Summer will still require the full eight-weeks.

We plan to offer our half day toddler program for children ages 15 months - 2.8 during the summer. The Half Day Toddler Summer Program will run for eight weeks, Monday through Friday. Children in this age group rely upon consistency for a sense of well-being. As such, it is best to have the same teachers and peers for the entire summer, so there is only one “session” which runs the entire eight weeks. Tuition is charged for the whole summer and remains the same regardless of whether children miss days or weeks due to vacation.

Re-Enrolling in Malden

What's new for the morning Malden half day class? We have introduced income-based tuition awards for our Malden program. Families who find our full school year tuition costs out of reach may apply for an income-based tuition award. Income-based tuition is made available within BOPN’s financial capacity. Factors taken into consideration when evaluating applications include single or dual parent households, one or two income households, the number of dependents, and the prior year’s taxable income. Please reach out to the Admissions office to inquire about income-based tuition.
