Boston Outdoor Preschool Network

Can you believe it’s already time to start thinking about summer and the next school year?  Staying with the same early childhood program and class community for multiple years has many benefits for young learners.  In subsequent years, youth become more confident, secure in the routines and seasons, willing to jump in and explore to new depths.  The secure relationships preschoolers have developed with their caregivers provide a springboard for healthy risks.  We invite you to join us for another year of curiosity, stewardship, and joy!

Read on for information about how to re-enroll for Summer 2023 and School Year 2023-2024.

BOPN is thrilled to offer summer programming at our Wellesley, Roslindale, and Malden sites!  Summer classes offer children consistency in routine, help ward off any summer learning gap, and, of course, allow youth to spend the precious, beautiful sunny days out of doors!

What's The Process?

Cultivate Curiosity, Connection, & Confidence

1. Bird's Eye View:

Attend an optional re-enrollment zoom session to learn about the re-enrollment process in Zoom Room number 878 0296 8297 .

  • November 29, 2022 10am - 11am

  • December 8, 2022 8pm - 9pm

2. Program Selection:

At BOPN, we cultivate community through mixed-age classes, where children can grow together over a period of multiple years from toddler through kindergarten.

Peer observation and modeling, paired with careful guidance from teachers, results in new depth and dimension of learning each season and each year.  From sensory exploration as toddlers, to practicing critical social and emotional skills in their early preschool years, to planning in detail and pondering in their kindergarten years, children are continually challenged to grow in an environment where they are known, loved, and supported.  When children and teachers return to the same program from year to year, we do our best to keep them together in the same class to reap the benefits continuous care provides.

Would you like to continue with the same program or explore different options?  Perhaps you’d like to transition from half day to full day or your child is aging up from toddlers to preschool?  See the panel above for details based on your child's age!

3. Review the Family Handbook:

Full enrollment terms and conditions are laid out in the handbook. Note that School Year 2023-2024 re-enrollment will require a one to two month deposit in January (depending on whether you decided to defer your SY 2022-2023 deposit to the following year). Handbooks for your program of choice can be found here.
