Sophie Newmark

Sophie grew up in Austin, Texas and is currently a student at Carleton College. She developed a love for nature through family hiking trips, and she was inspired to keep working with children after an internship at a library last summer. She's excited about BOPN because it's an opportunity for her to combine those two interests. In her free time, Sophie enjoys reading, writing, taking walks, and photographing leaves, birds and squirrels (if they don't disappear too fast!).
