Sirena grew up in Northern California, exploring its coastline and mountainsides any chance she got. She graduated from Boston University with a BS in Health Science in 2022. As her senior year practicum, she interned with Teri’s morning class at the Arnold Arboretum. Along with working at BOPN, Sirena is part of the field crew at Hutchins Farm in Concord. There she plants, cares for, and harvest a variety of organic vegetables. She is passionate about community health, engagement, and public access to green space. Working in nature-based early education while in a city is something that allows for those passions to intersect while she pursues the joy of teaching preschool. Sirena enjoys photography, reading, running, concerts, coffee, and hiking. She is excited to learn more from the BOPN kids and community!
