Sirena Kruse

School Year
Sirena grew up in Northern California, exploring its coastline and mountainsides any chance she got. While attending Boston University, she did her senior practicum with Teri’s class at the Arnold Arboretum and discovered a passion for nature-based early education. Thus, after graduation, Sirena pioneering the Malden class together with Teri and Estrella. Along with working at BOPN, Sirena is part of the field crew at Hutchins Farm in Concord. There she plants, cares for, and harvest a variety of organic vegetables. She is passionate about community health, engagement, and public access to green space. Working in nature-based early education while in a city is something that allows for those passions to intersect while she pursues the joy of teaching preschool. Sirena enjoys photography, reading, running, concerts, coffee, and hiking. She is excited to learn something new each day from the BOPN children and community!
