Kathryn Pope

Lead Teacher

Full Day Toddler

Kathryn grew up running around the forest in her backyard in southern Rhode Island, and spent her summers at a nature camp where she learned to admire and appreciate nature. These early interactions with the environment are really what pushed her into a career that guided children into exploring the outdoors! Kathryn's coursework in college was strongly focused on bringing concepts of our local environment to people of all ages. Her background in working with summer camps has been really influential in her teaching style, and she is excited to bring that level of fun and discovery to BOPN!

When not scampering around the Wellesley location, Kathryn can be found hanging in her hammock, reading mystery novels, taking care of her house plants, or running along the Charles River.

Kathryn graduated from Lesley University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science, with minors in Education and Literature.
