Juanita Cox

Juanita is excited to join the BOPN team and share her love of nature with young children. A lifelong Girl Scout since 8 years old, she has seen the impact of exploring nature and how it helps kids to both discover the world and discover themselves. She has been a camp counselor and has had lots of experience caring for children in a variety of settings including after school, tutoring, babysitting, church programs, and just generally enjoys spending time with kids.

She is excited to combine her love of the outdoors with her love for working with kids, especially doing nature exploration, and nature-based projects. She is also a new mom to a lively baby who loves to go outside and seems to think that everyone is a friend.

In her free time, she is a poet/writer, loves to try out new and interesting coffees (former barista), loves to take long walks with friends and family, paints, reads, goes to the beach, and explores the world with her son and husband.
