Eleanor grew up outside of Minneapolis, MN, where she enjoyed many summers exploring the nature of northern Minnesota. She is a 2020 graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where she majored in music and volunteered at the local elementary school in her free time. While she loves the Midwest, she is ready to start her new career journey on the East Coast.
Eleanor moved out to Boston in September 2021 to work as a music teacher and choir director. A lifelong lover of trees and lakes, she was able to focus on reconnecting with nature during the pandemic and has discovered a newfound interest in solo hiking! Her past experiences in camp counseling and nannying have also instilled in her a love of working with children as they explore the great outdoors and she is so thrilled to have the opportunity to merge these two passions through BOPN.
In her free time, you can find Eleanor practicing piano or guitar, on a weekend hike, or playing on the Charles River rugby team. She also appreciates time with her friends and phone calls to her moms and cats back home. She is so excited to learn with your students this year!
