Weekly nature-play program for children ages 6 through 10

Location

Drop-off and pick-up outdoors near Peter's Hill Gate.  (If driving, park on Bussey Street).

The children are active participants in selecting which places within the Arboretum we visit each day and how we explore them.  

Fall Session Schedule and Fee

9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on the following Fridays:

September 25 and October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

$270 for the 6-week session 

Please contact us about scholarships.  We are not unaware of the financial burdens that many of you bear at this challenging time and are sympathetic.  We will work with you to relieve those pressures whenever and however possible, and will not to turn any families away for financial reasons. 

Rhythm

9 a.m.: Drop-off near Peter's Hill Gate

--> Opening Circle

--> Hike to an "adventure spot" (varies depending on the children's preferences and location of flora and fauna of interest at that point in time)

--> Open-ended play and exploration, with spontaneous learning opportunities in nature with outdoor educator Jason Gutu

--> Closing Circle

12 p.m.: Pick-up near Peter's Hill Gate
